Terry Tierney

Terry Tierney is a software engineering manager working on the fringes of Silicon Valley, where he lives with his wife and young son. In another life he received a Ph.D. in Victorian Literature from Emory University, and he published a critical essay on Thackeray’s own double vision in Studies in the Novel. His poetry has appeared in Abraxas, California Quarterly, Centennial Review, Concerning Poetry, Cottonwood Review, Great River Review, Kansas Quarterly, Milkweed Chronicle, Poetry Northwest, Puerto del Sol, South Dakota Review, and other publications. He has poems coming in Poetry Motel and Poetry at the 33, and he has a poem in a recent issue of Kalliope. "Joining the Circus" is his first fiction publication. He is working on a novel manuscript, along with more stories and poems.
