Suzy González
In October (2012), Suzy Gonzalez attended an artist residency at Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, VT. She performed a series of hair removal and growth rituals on her body and created paintings based on her personal reflections. Self-Dichotomy explores the power of hair and its ties to identity, culture, body image, and performative gender roles.
