me siento tan cobarde, tan letrina,

cabizbajo, teje y teje
el porvenir de los sueños
que a cualquier precio se venden.

Ruido de cadenas y perros
y yo empequeñezco solo,
sílaba por sílaba,
hasta hacer-
me na-
da.

Dark Circles of Fear

A handful of salt in every hand
and loads n' loads of Saints stamps.
I become a dean of the pagan,
a voice that calls me at night.

Installed under my bed,
I dream, think, demystify.
Ideas in a bottle brush-strokes.
Ideas wrapped in a ribbon.
Ideas that will not return.

The noise of the clock amplifies,
its echo almost moving the curtain,
I feel so coward, so latrine,
that fear has gripped ahold of me.

A kingdom to defend in every corner,
no guardian angel or fairy godmother,
no conviction, or saints, or curtains.
The night light is burned
and a scream escapes me in spurts.

Again, this green-strawberry flavor
survives my dream, gives it life.
Green fields mixing
with oxide, taste of rotten rats.
Reality denudes its magnetism
and hurts me.
In the meantime, fear,
dejected, weaves and weaves
the future of dreams
that sell themselves at any price.

Noise of chains and dogs
and I become smaller by myself,
syllable by syllable,
until I be-
come no
thing.

tres pueblos ensangrentados,
las peonías abatidas de lamentos.

La desmesura del miedo
danza con los silencios mutilados,
cuatro piedras inútiles,
cinco angustias irracionales,
seis mil llagas debajo de las crines.

Llovía negrura
sobre una muñeca de esperanzas plisadas
que se preguntaba,
enferma de deseos,
quién podría hilvanarle las alas.

Distresses Dancing in Childhood

It was raining dust
on a wounded hill of infamies,
challenging the children of the espanto.

So much oxide in the threshold of a dream
it tears out with knifes of steel and hate
the dictionary of a thousand and one infancies.

Oracles stammer,
even the twilight has been stolen of its colors.

One other scam, two frustrations,
three bloodied peoples,
peonies dejected by moans.

The excess fear
dances with the mutilated silences,
four useless stones,
five irrational anguishes,
six thousand wounds under the manes.

It was raining blackness
on a doll with pleated hopes
who asked herself,
sick with wishes,
who could baste her wings.

Manos interrumpidas,
círculos de dulzura,
flechas pegadas a tu calma.

Un ave se descuelga del ocaso,
ese sonido ya tan largo
de secretas maderas inconclusas,
extendiéndose sin tregua
en las costuras del árbol.
Tu color de mundo.

Organicé mi corazón levantando la esperanza,
mirando las flores que esperaron
un bárbaro viento tricolor.

Seres dormidos en tu boca espesa
giran arremolinados
a la espera de tejer
tu calma con la mía.

Trains of calm and sea (an excerpt)

II. Weaving calm

The mist loosens itself in silver shreds
from the farthest clocks.
Interrupted hands,
circles of sweetness,
arrows stuck to your calmness.

A bird lets down from the sunset,
already too long a sound
of secret inconclusive lumbers,
extending themselves non stop
in the seams of the tree.
The color of your world.

I organized my heart raising hope,
looking at the flowers which waited for
a barbarian tricolor wind.

Asleep beings in your thick mouth
swirly revolve
waiting to weave
your calm in mine.
